Başak Şahindoğan, Sales Manager Hebo Yapı A.Ş., which is one of the Hekim Holding Group companies, stated that cities in the Middle East and North Africa were started to be re-build just recently both because of the war and demolitions in the country and the prosperity level, they had been receiving many city furniture requests from these regions.
Şahindoğan explained in his statement that the implementation of the development plans in Turkey started in Istanbul in the middle of 1800’s and in this period, due to the pavement arrangements and placement of street lamps and litter boxes at various points of the city, Turkey met the concept of city furniture and due to the changing urban structure and needs brought about the development of this concept.
Şahindoğan, stating that all the ready-made items used in city life such as cab stands, box office cabins, security points, parking cabins, sales kiosks, park cafes, police points and ATMs, they produce under the brand “Hebo City” do not only facilitate the livesof the individuals but also contributed directly to the general texture of the city.
Şahindoğan said that the usage areas of the products were very wide and diverse; security cabins and WC units were in the first place, these products were followed by kiosks and box cabins, and the number of cash dispensers and cafeteria units were increasing recently.
“Istanbul is using city furniture more and more extensively”
Başak Şahindoğan, expressing that each city created its own fashion, “We think that the city furniture has a special design in the new generation urbanism concept. From this point of view, we combine the products we produce with environmentally friendly raw materials and 21st-century technology to reveal the effects of urban design on the new concept of urbanism. ”
Şahindoğan, verbalized that most of their customers were local governments and construction companies, steering the city architecture, said that Istanbul is developing very fast because of being a growing metropolis.
Şahindoğan said, “Because of its never-ending construction, Istanbul is using city furniture more and more widely every day. Whereas though not as busy as in Istanbul, other major cities started to use city furniture at an increasing pace every day. ”
Şahindoğan, stating that the use of city furniture is very old in the European cities which have formed their architectural infrastructure a long time ago, disclosed that the developing countries that have not completed their structuring are the most important customers of Hebo Yapı A.Ş.
